Raymond Pao calls himself a “middle-aged geek attracted to all and any kind of consumer electronic devices”. His curiosity and eagerness to try out new and innovative gadgets led him to a career building the latest mobile technology and related applications. In 2006, Raymond was introduced to Virtual Reality (VR), and found its immense potential in gaming and other commercial applications extremely interesting. Since then, Raymond formed a VR interest group in Taiwan so that VR developers can showcase creations and exchange ideas related to VR.
Raymond is currently the Special Assistant to CEO at HTC, and is responsible for VR development in the company.
